On Friday, Connor went for his THIRD set of ear tubes. He was a champ!
He colored for quite a while until they came to get him.
He was pretty happy to hear there would be no shots involved... gotta love Children's Hospital!
The surgery only took about ten minutes and then we were allowed to see him. He didn't mind the hospital at all once he found out there were banana popsicles involved.
But he didn't mind going home either. In the arms of his protector! :)
We had not been home from the hospital more than 30 minutes when Connor asked me to make him some scrambled eggs. I turned to take the eggs off the stove and told Meg, "Don't touch, baby, that's hot!" Well, any seasoned mother can tell you that I might as well have sent my daughter a written invitation to touch the stove. So... guess where we spent the rest of our "surgery day"?
Everyone is doing fine now. Meg's hand is in the bandage until Tuesday. We'll see the doctor and he'll make a decision on how to treat going forward. We were blessed. It could have been much worse. It was only second degree, there was no deep tissue damage. But there is alot of blistering. All four fingers and the top pad of her palm are blistered and turning dark. Poor baby, she's been a trooper. She sobbed and moaned until the doctor finished bandaging her. The only time she cries now is when we have to change the bandage. She says, "It very hurting!" :(

Poor babies! My heart sunk into my stomach as I was reading about Meg's burn. I pray it heals quickly. I also pray that Connor's tubes work this time and no more are needed. Hang in there!!
So sorry to hear about Meg's burn. Ouch! that must have hurt.
Sorry also to hear that Connor is on his third set of ear tubes...that would not be too fun either.
Sounds like you spent the weekend cuddling and resting. I hope there was nothing else that happened!

Oh my goodness! Poor Conner and Meg. I wondered why Meg's hand was bandaged at the beach. (Awesome photos BTW!) I hope they both are doing great now. One of my biggest fears in the world is my kids getting burned in the kitchen. I hope the beach has helped calm your nerves too.
