The truth as I know it:

We witness a miracle every time a child enters into life. But those who make their journey home across time & miles, growing within the hearts of those who wait to love them, are carried on the wings of destiny and placed among us by God's very own hands. ~~~ Kristi Larson

Cowards!

Just wanted to make a quick note... I don't have a ton of time today because Brian's cousin is visiting from Ireland and we are off to lunch (with all four kids in tow), so I have to be quick.

Way back when, when I commented on the "Orphan" movie, I turned on the comment moderation for that post and boy am I glad that I did. I got some pretty nasty messages from folks and even a few folks who wanted to post links to their sites that are OPPOSED to orphan adoption. Can you even imagine me allowing such a thing??? But the thing I find most interesting is that TO A PERSON, every SINGLE one of these nasty commenters or the people who supported this movie or opposed adoption were ANONYMOUS. I went to great lengths to try to find or identify the guy who has two sites dedicated to opposing adoption, but he has no identifying information and you can't even leave him a comment on either of those sites, you have to use a third party venue to comment, which he moderates, and then never posted any of my comments, which obviously disagreed with him. I guess, in truth, I did the same to him since I didn't publish his comment either (I didn't want to get any traffic to his site by people following the links he posted in his comment.) Anyway, I just thought it was interesting that none of these people who wanted to so boldly support this tasteless movie and wanted to be so petty and cheap in making fun of my "sensitivity" would not leave their names. Not one of them had the guts to put their name to their comment... I think that alone should tell them and everyone else that at best, they are uncertain about the validity of their feelings and they don't want anyone to know how they feel! If you can't live your beliefs in the light of day, maybe you should rethink your beliefs??? I'm just sayin'!

Psalm 63:9-10 The Message translation
"But the king is glad in God; his true friends spread the joy, while small-minded gossips are gagged for good."

try putting the url into easywhois.com and you might get some information there. you can also trace the links and see what you can get from that. I am with ya though, if you don't have the guts to post with your identity, then don't post, chickens!

I had the same thing happen with my Orphan Movie post. Did you read my response? I took it down because I didn't want my kids reading it...

makes me so mad. :|

It's hard to believe anyone could be against ANYTHING helpful to orphans. (I didn't go back and find your original post though).

I'm over from Lynnette;s blog.. Did you change your header recently? Nice little corner of the web you have here!

Unbelievable! How can someone actually be opposed to adoption?

I must be behind the times...is "orphan" a movie or television show?...Set me straight!!! I did see preview on TV about something to do with a girl who was an orphan and joining a family or something...but didn't watch the preview any farther.

But I will say, I dislike anonymous comments....I'd rather not leave any comment than make it anonymous...We should be able to do in the dark what we would do in the light...and anyonymous comments that are negative are definitely done in "the dark"!...Love your blog by the way!!!

Just stopped via Lynnette's blog. I agree with you on anonymous bloggers who are obviously not firm in what they believe. Great post!!

You go girl! So proud of you for taking a stand for all of us who adopt. I cannot imagine our life without our adopted daughter and think it is so hurtful that others feel so strongly to post such comments.

I have never heard of the "orphan" movie but I am horrified that anyone would actually be opposed to adoption. And opposed enough to actually devote time and energy to making a website about it. Appalling. Sad actually. I don't know why the negative commentors always choose to go anonymous...cowards I guess.

I came over here last week from lynnettes blog but I think my commentor thing wasn't working. Glichy dial up internet! I've been following you since though and appreciate your thoughts and humor :)
