One night, we fell asleep before my husband could move the elf. The kids were disappointed. My husband said that maybe "Elfie" had nothing to report! The kids bought it.

My husband is always finding good places to put the Elf. They have asked about these elves and so far I've successfully been able to explain that we live too far out of town to be on the elf route just yet. Some nights he "forgets" to fly back to Santa and ends up in the same spot....shame, shame--it is a big job and this mommy brain is already on over-time. Some nights he haunts me at 3 am and I jump out of bed and escort him to his new place......and it usually involves the step stool as he *has* to be out of reach of the kids....UGH!
Happy Elfin!!!findingourdaughterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00372367025416226455noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31328513.post-43701534577527416162009-12-07T11:34:57.111-08:002009-12-07T11:34:57.111-08:00We have a little Elf too! But, here the rage is "The North Pole Elves". They are the ones that have the kids going nuts! They were even banned from one of the local private schools because the elves came in during lunch and ransacked the teacher's room! I had my 4th grade girls spend the night with me and they all brought their elves. We had played scrabble earlier that night, so the next morning the elves were caught playing scrabble and had spelled out the girls' names. They liked it ;) THey also decorated my house with all the crafts we had made earlier too. Good luck!Bethanyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17661505354671435491noreply@blogger.com
